Description

"A three-bay, one-and-a-half-to-two-and-a-half-storey detached villa, built c.1864, architect unknown. The roof is steeply pitched, with natural slates, black ridge tiles and lead valleys. It features decorative scalloped barge-boards and timber finials to projecting eaves. There are four chimneys, two flanking the front central bay and two to the rear; retaining octagonal chimney pots. The roof appears to be in reasonable condition, with slates intact and retaining lead flashings to chimneys. The walls are rendered, with quoins to all but the central bay, which instead features set-back buttresses. The render is in poor condition. The cast iron rainwater goods are also in poor condition with missing sections to the downpipes and blocked gutters. Damage cause by severe water ingress is particularly evident to the front of the property resulting in boast and missing render and vegetation growth. Windows are generally 1/1 sliding sash to the upper floor and 2/2 to the lower floor; remaining present in all functional window openings. The property is vacant, and it is currently for sale (2022).
