Exterior Description And Setting


A single storey flat roofed house in a modern style on an asymmetrical plan with a garage underneath one end. Roof covering of rubber with white stone chippings; walls of grey concrete brick; white painted sheeted fascia between parapet upstands, except for cedar panelled fascia to boxing over front steps. Some windows are full height in cedar frames with cedar lower panels; others are small metal framed side-hung casements set in wooden subframe. Projecting beam ends form a feature on two elevations. Open tread external staircase in timber and steel to entrance front, added 1973. The property sits on an elevated site at the head of a sloping lawn. Curved screen wall to front steps, with shared driveway and turning area laid out in conjunction with No. 3, built in a similar style.
