Exterior Description And Setting


Rotary type pump. Column splay shaped with fluted decorations. The cap has fluted decorations with a pointed finial. This pump has a spout lug but no pedestal. It is in a prominent roadside location.

Good example of a rotary type water pump in a prominent position in the heart of Castledawson. This type is rare and a reminder of the time when drinking water was only available in the street.
