Exterior Description And Setting


The remains of a former thatched cottage of harled blackstone rubble now in a completely ruinous condition, along with the remains of a potato house standing to the east and joined by a right-angled stone wall. The buildings stand on an open and elevated site overlooking the sea. Described in the first survey in 1972 as 'A thatched cottage with harled and whitened walls and three chimneys. Length about 30m with dwelling and outbuildings under one roof. Dwelling is lighted by one 16-pane, one 12-pane and one plain-sashed window on the southeast side. Entrance door is sheeted. Thatched square potato house to the south-east.'
