Exterior Description And Setting

Rotary type pump. The column is splay shaped without decoration. The cap has fluted decoration with acorn finial. This pump has a spout lug but no pedestal. It is located in a prominent position and has a rail surround. The metal cover is inscribed ‘Winnington & Co /Wilson St/Belfast’ and the column is inscribed ‘George Espey & Son/Cookstown’.

Pump cited here on the 1906 and 1935 OS 25 inch maps (PRONI OS 10/5/38/9/1 and 2). Probable installation date about 1905/06.
