Site on the corner of Hill Street and Mark Street. This First Survey record states: 'Two - storey, three bay. Slated. Gabled. Gable chimneys Dentil eaves. Vermiculated stepped quoins. First Floor moulded arch. Keyed. Bracketed sills & sill string below rusticated stucco - moulded arch and hoods to two windows & central door. Windows DH no gazing bars. Special features – well detailed external stucco work. c 1840 Date of Visit 29/11/72'

The First Survey record states: 'Two - storey, three bay. Slated. Gabled. Gable chimneys Dentil eaves. Vermiculated stepped quoins. First Floor moulded arch. Keyed. Bracketed sills & sill string below rusticated stucco - moulded arch and hoods to two windows & central door. Windows DH no gazing bars. Special features – well detailed external stucco work. c 1840 visited 29/11/72.' 04-07-00 site visit by area architect noted: Prominent corner site – building destroyed by fire 1998; no roof or upper floors, interior filled with rubble & burnt timber, bits of furniture; part external & internal walls still standing, almost to eaves at gable & part facades, portico extant; very little fabric could be retained if restored; site overgrown & used as play/gathering area by local children; consult SCA's on way forward 10-08-00: Historic Buildings Unit concluded that insufficient structure remains for restoration; assessment is that building is no longer worthy of listing due to loss of historic fabric. 25-05-01: HBU responseded to a Listed Building consent Application ( N/2001/0300/LBC) for demolition - in view of the disastrous fire no PHB objection to retrospective consent for demolition.
