Exterior Description And Setting

A three-storey multi-bay whinstone rubble building built in 1827 as an agricultural school by the Grocer's Company, later converted into Templemoyle House and now utilised as a care home (Templemoyle Care Home). Pitched natural slate roof, random rubble walls with ashlar quoins, and brick-trimmed square-headed openings; dressed stone cills to window openings; uPVC windows throughout. Modern single-storey porch addition to front facade, and two-and three-storey additions to rear (W) elevation. Vestiges of outbuildings to S, including a two-storey, hipped, rubble masonry building, with external bell, now partly in ruins.
