Historical Information

A building is indicated on this site on the 1831 map. The present occupants inherited the house 17 years ago (1980) and renovated the building with a Housing Executive Grant at that time. The fanlight was the only original window they were ‘allowed to keep’. Described on 25th August 1970 as: ' a two storey house with harled and whitened walls and slated roof. All windows are D/H with full g.b. The entrance is recessed in a semi-circular opening with panelled door and curvilinear glazing in fanlight. The gable on the roadside is rendered. There is a one storey gabled annex to the rear 3 windows wide.' References: Primary Sources: OS Map 1st Edition 1831 Londonderry sheet 23, Present occupants(1997)
