Historical Information

Building is indicated on the 1831 map and seems to have been largely unchanged over the years. It appeared in the 1993 U.A.H.S. buildings at risk catalogue still thatched but with grass growing out of it. The roof must have collapsed in recent years. Evaluation

Formerly a beautiful thatched house picturesquely sited on the flat ground at the base of Binevenagh, a nice view for a tourist on a passing train. Now a ruined wallstead probably beyond realistic repair.
