Exterior Description And Setting


The building has been completely demolished and replaced by a new dwelling The First Survey card is blank. The building was not recorded in the Thatch Survey. The First Survey images show a single storey two bay hearth/lobby thatched house. There is a chimney on each gable and on the cross wall. The windows are 1/1 sliding sash: two to the left hand bay; then a door; and two to the right hand bay. Both gables are blank. The rear elevation has two window to the left hand bay (as before); then a modern top hung window with a lean to porch immediately to the right of this; remainder of elevation not recorded.

First Survey card is blank. The building does not appear on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map of 1833 but is shown on the OS second edition map of 1853 without the annex to the west end.
