This building was surveyed in the First Survey but not listed. A partial record only was taken during the Second Survey as the canal structure is not of a type to be considered for a full survey. Lock and lock keepers house on Newry canal. Lock chamber approx 60ft long and of coursed squared granite blocks. Modern concrete road bridge with galvanized metal railings over lock. One-and-a-half-story five-bay lock keepers house now rebuilt or completely renovated with cement rendered finish. Slate roof with raised kerbs to gables. Timber sash windows.
