Exterior Description And Setting


A former group of whitewashed stone and rendered houses, now demolished. The First Survey card records: Two, two-storey whitened stone houses at roadside with hipped gabled roof and central brick chimney, together with two rendered houses of (?) (?) at right angles to road. The low block has cross glazing to all but one window, doors are sheeted. The other block, six bays wide has Georgian glazing above and (?) entrance flanked (?) side by a four pane wide, twelve pane light. (?) bays to north are harled. Date of visit: 22.05.1972
