Exterior Description And Setting


A former two-storey three-bay harled house with slate roof, now demolished and replaced with a two-storey dwelling. The First Survey card records: A two-storey, three bay, harled and colour-washed house with slated roof and two rendered chimneys. The (?) door with plain rectangular fanlight is flanked either side by a 16-pane sashed window. Upper windows are 12-pane of reduced dimensions. A range of two-storey roughcast and whitened buildings to the south are roofed with slate or corrugated iron. Upper windows are modern. There are two plain-sashed windows on lower floor together with a 16-pan sashed window and a panelled door with plain rectangular fanlight. There are further inhabited dwellings extending to east. Date of visit: May 1972
