Exterior Description And Setting


A former early nineteenth-century harled and whitened cottage with slated roof, now demolished and replaced with modern housing. The First Survey card records: ‘Pre 1833. A harled and whitened cottage with slated roof. One gable rises to a chimney stack, another is set asymmetrically on ridge. Three are three sashed windows, with vertical division and a projecting porch, under an extension of the main roof on the front elevation. The door is sheeted On 1833 OS map Date of visit: 9 Dec 71'
