Exterior Description And Setting


A two-storey three-bay house built c.1840, located on a low site below the level of the Banbridge Road, now demolished. The First Survey card records: ‘Pre 1860. A two-storey, three bay, rendered house with raised surrounds to Georgian-glazed sash windows, 12-pane below, 9-pane above. The central entrance is recessed in an elliptical-arched opening with panelled door, slim pilasters and hooped fanlight. Two storey return with hip at transition, gable to north. Does not appear on OS map of 1833. Appears on OS map of 1860 Date of visit: 21 December 1972'
