Moulded render eaves course carries ogee rainwater goods. Walls are lined rendered and painted with stepped quoins to right corner. Continuous cill course at first floor level. Door is served by a large metal staircase, which also serves a door on the right cheek of the rear return. Return is rendered and painted and all windows are modern and some are in enlarged openings. There are three windows to ground floor and two to first floor of the left cheek (onto Great George’s Street North). Its right cheek has a single window at ground floor and the escape door at first floor. End gable is blank. Rear of back yard has a sheeted door onto Great George’s Street North and is enclosed by a two storey outbuilding (of no interest). Right elevation fronts onto Great George’s Street North. It has walls as front elevation, with stepped quoins to left and right sides, but not at ground floor right where wall continues as a rear return (see later). There are two openings to each floor. At ground floor left is a uPVC window and at right is a semicircular headed coachway with similar architrave and keystone as the front door case. Coachway has been infilled with a rendered wall and a modern uPVC window with sheeted head above. First floor windows are 1/1 uPVC casements and those to second floor are 1/1 sliding sashes.

Evaluation

One of eight houses in a terrace on Church Street. The terrace has been affected by alterations but is still a significant set piece in the town. This house has had all of its front windows altered. Interior is also much altered and the house has been subdivided into three flats
