Exterior Description And Setting


This building was surveyed in the First Survey but not listed. Partial record only was taken during the Second Survey as the building is not worthy of a full survey. A substantial mid-nineteenth century two-storey house in rubble stone with brick dressings, having end bays set back and ground floor windows set in elliptical recesses. It is located in a rural
setting on the Ballygowan Road, Hillsborough. Restoration of the house has recently begun, and the majority of historic fabric has been lost, although the facade retains some interest.
