Exterior Description And Setting


This building has been demolished and replaced by a modern sheltered housing complex. The First Survey card records: 'Single/Sty house with attic & basement. Roof slated, gable ends. Chimneys rendered. Walls rendered & lined. Twin corbelled eaves. Mld. sill course & base. 2 D/H windows, no astrags, mld. architraves with outer pilasters supporting decor. brackets below dentilled cornice hood with shaped blocking & central doorway has same surround but with no architrave. Plain fanlight & panelled door. Condition poor. Front about 35 ft. Outbldg in front on L/H side. appears on O.S. Map of 1834 Date of visit: 7/6/73'
