Historical Information

Several pumps are cited in the village on the 1906 and 1937 OS 25 inch maps (PRONI Ref OS 10/6/44/5/1 and 2), but none at this location. It is therefore concluded that this one was installed after 1936. Further particulars in the EHS Report 'Water Pumps in Northern Ireland : A Preliminary Survey' by Fred Hammond, January 1997, Pumpno 73.
