Exterior Description And Setting


A rotary type pump with a splay shaped undecorated column and a fluted cap with boss finial. 'Winnington & Co Engineers Belfast 1907' is cast on the base of the column. It is situated between two terraces of mill worker's houses.

Not on 1901 OS map (PRONI Ref OS 6/3/30/3), but cited on the 1920 edition (/4). 1907 date cast on column. Further particulars in the EHS Report 'Water Pumps in Northern Ireland : A Preliminary Survey' by Fred Hammond, January 1997, Pump no 62.
