Exterior Description And Setting


Description at 15.08.1995 A fountain with a plain shaped fluted column and a lions mouth spout. Only the column survives with it's lions mouth. Design suggests it was made by Glenfield and Kennedy of Kilmarnock. Description at 07.07.2006. Pump has been removed.

Not cited on the 1903-04 OS 6 inch map (PRONI Ref OS 6/3/26/3). Cited on the 1903/17 edition (/4). Further particulars in the EHS Report 'Water Pumps in Northern Ireland : A Preliminary Survey' by Fred Hammond, January 1997, Pump no 44. 07.07.2006 Pump is no longer in position. Presumably removed when the new housing was constructed.
