Exterior Description And Setting

A closed head lever type pump with a plain undecorated column and a fluted cap with acorn finial. Carries a flag logo (denoting manufacture by Lee, Howl and Co, Tipton), 'Made in England' and '3 1/2" on column. It is of the 'Paragon deep-well lift pump' variety. The handle has been removed by ther owner for safe keeping. Located on the opposite side of the lane to the house and approached up concrete steps.

According to a local informant, it was originally installed c 1930s and moved after a replacement electric pump was installed. Further particulars in the EHS Report 'Water Pumps in Northern Ireland'
