Exterior Description And Setting


A fountain with a plain shaped fluted column and a fluted cap with an acorn finial. While no inscriptions are visible, it was probably made by Glenfield and Kennedy and installed at the same time as the three on the Coast Road in Ballygalley. It is located on the side of the road near its junction with the Ballygalley Road. Description at July 2006. As above but has been removed to new position in the centre of the village green

Not marked on the 1903 or 1930 OS 25 inch maps (PRONI Ref OS 10/1/35/6/1 and 2). Further particulars in the EHS Report 'Water Pumps in Northern Ireland : A Preliminary Survey' by Fred Hammond, January 1997, Pump no 53. Moved to noew locatio in the centre of the village green.
