Exterior Description And Setting

A two-storey, 4-bay building with hipped slated roof and roughcast walls. Windows are rectangular timber sliding sash, 2 over 2, with horns, with exposed sash boxes. Modern rectangular timber panelled door. North gable is a blank wall; modern red brick chimney with one pot. Rear elevation is of basalt rubble with brick dressings to openings; windows are pvc fixed lights with top-hung vents; a modern pvc glazed red brick conservatory projects at rear. SETTING: The building stands facing directly onto the street.

Precise date of building not recorded; but they appear on the OS map of 1832 and may be supposed to date from the early 19th century. The windows in the front elevation were inserted after 1977.
