Exterior Description And Setting

Demolished and replaced by landscaping scheme. Described in the first survey in 1970 as “A two-storey corner house with pub front on Market Square. The walls are rendered with quoins. The roof is slated, two chimneys are rendered, one is of modern brickwork. Plain sashed windows on upper floor are set in square moulded architraves. The entrance in Castle Street is set in an elliptical arched opening the panelled door is flanked by three pane sidelights, the fanlight has radial glazing. No 2 Market Square, E. Craig Shoemaker, forms part of the building."
