Exterior Description And Setting


Single storey commercial garage of perhaps c.1945-50 in brick and roughcast with Belfast Truss roof. The property is set on the E side of New Street, to the S of the centre of Randalstown. The building is rectangular in plan and measures roughly 21m x 12. The front (W) gable is in brick and has a large left of centre vehicle doorway with sliding timber double door and timber signboard above. To the right of this is a square-ish window with mullioned and transomed timber frame. The N elevation abuts a neighbouring house and is blank. The S elevation is finished is roughcast and is also blank. To the rear there is a large lean-to extension. The curved roof is covered in corrugated metal and has a central row of roof lights.
