Historical Information

A building, probably the existing one, is shown on the 1834 OS 6" map. It is valued at £2 in the 1862 second Valuation. It is probably of earlier 19th century date. The First survey card of 1983 describes the house as “a single storey thatched cottage. Modern brick cross-wall chimney. Cement skews at gables. Whitewashed walls. Probably stone. Vertically divided double-hung windows with projecting cills.” Primary sources: 1. OS 6" map 1st edition (1834), Co Fermanagh sheet 43 (PRONI OS 6/4/43/1). 2.
