Exterior Description And Setting


Bun Bridge is a single segmental arch carrying a one-and-a-half lane minor road over a stream. It is of random split limestone rubble throughout, now very heavily overgrown. Pipes are carried across the upstream and downstream faces.

This bridge is captioned 'Bun Br' on the 1834 OS 6" map. It is probably of late 18th or early 19th century date. Primary sources: 1. OS 6" map, 1st edition (1834), Co Fermanagh sheet 39 (PRONI OS 6/4/39/1).
