Historical Information

This house is first shown on the 1907 OS 6" map, and is therefore of later 19th century date. Unfortunately its precise date of erection could not be determined from the Valuation revision books. The first survey card of 1983 describes the house as a “two storey house with hipped slated roof. Two smooth rendered cross-wall chimneys, without pots. Clay ridges. Half-round gutters on corbelled eaves. Walls lime-washed. Double-hung sashes with margin panes and projecting stone cills. Recent double door with original fanlight over (margin paned). Projecting footings at base.” Primary sources: 1. OS 6" map 2nd edition (1857), Co Fermanagh sheet 40 (PRONI OS 6/4/40/2). 2. OS 6" map 3rd edition (1907), Co Fermanagh sheet 40 (PRONI OS 6/4/40/3).
