Historical Information

A building is shown on this site on the 1722 map of Comber and on all other maps thereafter. The valuation records of 1834 tell us that the property on the site at that stage measured 27½ft x 22½ x 16, thus suggesting at the house demolished recently was probably the same building. In 1833 the house was in the possession of a Michael Long. The building was demolished c.1995 and a new building (presently an amusement arcade), built in its place.
