Exterior Description And Setting


8 bays wide, 2 and 3 storey building with gateway. The building consists of 2 parts, one 6 bays wide, 3 storeys high and other 2 bays wide 2 storeys high. 6 bay wide part : from left (N end) 3 no. vertical windows, boarded up, a 4 panelled door, upper panels glazed, with glazed side screens each side, fanlight all boarded up, panelled pilasters on each side, frieze and cornice, 2 no. vertical windows boarded up. At 1st floor 6 no. vertical windows, boarded up and centred on openings below. At 2nd floor 3 no. vertical windows, boarded up, and centred over every alternative opening below. 2 bay wide part : Door, panelled, boarded up, with moulded architrave. 1 no. vertical window boarded up. At 1st floor, 2 no. vertical windows boarded up centred over openings below. Walls smooth rendered, unpainted, lined. ½ round gutter, 2 downpipes, natural slated roof 3 no. chimneystacks. S gable smooth rendered, unpainted. To S of exposed gable a 3 centre arched gateway, smooth rendered and lined. The building line is back of footwalk, maintaining building line of No. 49 and 51 and Manor House.

A late Georgian style terrace house 8 bays wide, 2 and 3 storey building with gateway. It has been renovated reducing its haitoriacl and architectural character and is not considered to possess special architectural or historic interest.
