Exterior Description And Setting


Water fountain situated on footpath on S side of Main St, opposite junction with road to Fivemiletown. Of cast-iron construction throughout. Fluted column and cap, the latter with acorn finial. Plain spout; tap at left (when viewed from road). Bucket bracket at base. On the rim at the top of the column is inscribed 'C JS 84' (probably indicating the founder's pattern). Probably complete (cap now secured to column) but no longer operating.
