Historical Information

First appears in the valuation revision book entry of 1903. The gate lodge was demolished shortly after the first HMBB survey in 1987. The survey card describes the building thus: “Two bay one and a half storey gate house to Annaghard House. Chimney: single centre red brick. Roof: Natural slate, pitched. Walls: white washed wet dash. Windows: Front left – 2 pane, front right – six pane sliding sash.” Primary sources: 1. Valuation revision book, 1903 (PRONI: VAL 12B/25/5D, p.77).
