Historical Information

Although there has been a house at this location prior to 1834, the valuation revision book indicates that it only took its one-and-a-half storey form in 1894. The first HMBB survey card of 1987 describes the building thus: “A three bay one and a half storey dwelling. Two brick chimneys. Roof 75% natural slate, remainder asbestos slate. Cast-iron rainwater goods. Walls wet dashed painted. Four windows: six pane white sliding sash – insitu concrete cills. Sheeted front door with fanlight over.” Primary sources: 1.
