Historical Information


Not shown on the 1859 OS 6” map. Cited in the 1862 second valuation (compiled 1860), indicating a construction date of 1859-60. The first HMBB survey slide dated May 1987 shows the building to have been two storey/ three bay with pitched natural slate roof with a wet dashed chimney to right gable and stone skew to left gable. Walls are wet dashed and painted. Set to left of centre is a T+G sheeted entrance door, to either side is a window with painted stone cill, that to left is a 2x3 and that to right is a 2/2 sliding sash with horns. Above to first floor, centre and right bay each have a 1/3 horizontally divided sliding sash window. Right gable is abutted by a single storey outbuilding with corrugated metal roof.
