Exterior Description And Setting

A much altered two storey / two bay house aligned SW-NE at the S of Dernaglug & Drumaa Townland. Pitched artificial slate roof with plastic ogee rainwater goods over boxed eaves. There is a cement rendered chimney to party wall between each bay. Walls are pebble-dashed over a painted cement-rendered base course with vertical bands to either end of each elevation. All windows are modern timber top-hung casements in narrow cement-rendered reveals with concrete cills. Principal elevation faces SE. Left bay has a window to each floor. Right bay has a slightly advanced gabled entrance porch at left and a window to each floor at right. The porch has painted cement-rendered walls. SE face has a modern glazed and timber door with a stone plaque over reading ‘1888’. Left gable has a window to each floor set at left (that to first floor is smaller and obscurely glazed). Rear elevation is abutted to right bay by a full height return, detailed as house and of no interest. Left bay has a window to each floor. Right gable is blank.
