Exterior Description And Setting

A single skew segmental span carries a two-lane road over the River Finn. Of very finely dressed sandstone throughout. The soffit blocks are laid to a pronounced angle, in keeping with the skew of the arch. Vee-jointed voussoirs with rusticated keystone. The rest of the bridge is of random blocks brought to courses. Shallow tapered buttresses to each side. The parapets have shouldered saddleback copings. A metal pipe is carried across the downstream (S) face.

Evaluation

Although similar to many such road bridges this area, its non-orthogonal soffit and high standard of execution are of some interest
