A single storey thatched cottage with harled and whitened walls, with a later wooden porch; timber sash windows, vertically hung. The roof timberwork is original.

It is recorded in the second valuation of 1860, however, the occupant listed as Jane Macklemain, Col. Charles P. Leslie the immediate lessor, and the rateable value calculated at 10/-.
