Exterior Description And Setting

A much modernised single-storey four-bay house aligned NE-SW on the S side of the Old Bridge Road. Pitched artificial slate roof with two pebble-dashed chimneys with cement coping - one to party wall between bays 1 and 2 and the other between bay 2 and 3 (from left). Boxed timber eaves support half-round plastic rainwater goods. Walls are pebble-dashed with a smooth rendered and painted base course. All windows are modern top-hung timber casements set within narrow painted and rendered reveals. Cills are concrete. Principal elevation faces NW. The extreme right bay is wider than the others and each bay has a single window – that to bay 2 is set to the right of a projecting porch. Porch is detailed as house with pitched roof. Left cheek contains the entrance accessed by three steps with a modern metal handrail. Door is modern timber with a glazed side panel; front and right cheek each contains a narrow window. Left gable is blank. Rear elevation has a modern timber door accessed by two steps to left. To its right are two windows. Right gable has a window to centre.
