Exterior Description And Setting

A symmetrical two storey/three bay house aligned E-W on the junction of Aghadavoyle Road and Drumintee Road. Hipped natural slate roof with a cement rendered chimney rising from centre of each side elevation. Boxed eaves support ogee metal rainwater goods. Walls are random rubble stone with dressed granite quoins. Openings are set within cement rendered architraves (unless otherwise stated) and cills are granite. Principal elevation faces N. Central bay has a modern eight-panelled timber door. To either side is a top-hung 8/8 timber casement window with brick dressing (partly rendered over). Aligned above to first floor are three 3/6 top-hung casement windows (diminished in height, and with heads at eaves level). Each side elevation is blank and is abutted by a single-storey porch, detailed as house. Each has a modern glazed timber door (with brick head and granite keyblock) to N face; all other elevations are blank. Rear elevation is abutted to centre by a glazed conservatory (of no interest). To either side is a window; aligned above are three windows, all detailed as those to façade. Setting: House is set within mature gardens and is enclosed from the road by a modern wet-dashed and cement rendered wall.

A symmetrical two storey/three bay house. This former schoolhouse, constructed in granite rubble, has been modernised and retains no features of interest.
