Exterior Description And Setting

A small 1 bay 1 storey redbrick and slated structure. A redbrick building with door opening in S gable, single 10 pane horizontal window on E wall overlooking weighbridge position (no longer there). Timber fascias and bargeboards, overhang, slated roof redbrick chimney on N gable. The building is freestanding a couple of hundred metres from station building and in different ownership.

Historical Information

The structure housed the instrumentation for the weighbridge. Possibly contemporary with the station building of 1856 but more likely to be of 1877 when there were improvements and increased trade due to direct link to Dublin. The building lies within the garden of No. 24 Station Road. IHR No. 2195:36
