Exterior Description And Setting

Located in an elevated Beech tree copse in a field to NE of the walled garden. Subterranean chamber is accessed by an L shaped passageway within which is a flight of steps which descend from SE. The steps have rubble stone side walls and a red brick barrel vaulted roof (now collapsed). The only other external feature is a small circular granite dressed opening lighting the top of the main chamber and set in ground to SW of the steps.
