Exterior Description And Setting

Small single storey gabled church hall with a gabled return and a recent flat roofed extension, built originally as a school house c.1870s-80s. To the left side of the south elevation is a projecting flat roofed modern extension with two modern high level windows. To the right side are three equally spaced, mock sash & case (6 over 9) windows with segmental arch heads and raised surround. The east face of the flat roofed extension has a recessed entrance door. The east facade of the main building presents a blank gable with over hanging eaves with painted barge board. The north facade has an off-centre gabled return with two symmetrically placed windows (as before) to its north face. Its east face has a timber door to the left side while the west side is blank. To either side of the return are windows (as before), two to the left and one to the right. The west facade was originally gabled but the is now mostly obscured by a flat roofed extension with high level windows, two to the west face and one to its north face. The corners of the original building have moulded quoins. The building is set in its own grounds which are now tarmacadamed and used as a car park. The grounds are enclosed with a low rendered wall with concrete copings and modern arrow head railingsaping period detailing

The school house may have been built c.1870s-80s as a church school for the nearby Presbyterian church. It is now used as one of two church halls for the Presbyterian church.
