Exterior Description And Setting


A water pipe marker on south side of Lissize Rd. Roughly dressed granite block with rounded top standing 60cm high and 32cm x 23cm in cross section. Smoother road face incised with 5cm high letters 'PBW' (= Portadown and Banbridge Water).

Appears on 1918 OS 6” map as “stone”. One of a number of stones marking the course of the Portadown and Banbridge Waterworks pipeline from Foffany Dam, opened in 1909.
