Exterior Description And Setting

Former Presbyterian Manse now demolished. Entrance piers remain and some planting in the former garden. Rubble of demolished house not removed.

Historical Information

Building first indicated on Ordnance Survey map of 1909. Two separate farms indicated on previous maps seem to have been incorporated into the farmyard of the new building. These buildings have also been removed. The house was used as the residence of the minister of Largy Presbyterian Church (HB02/03/007) until it was amalgamated with the Dungiven Presbytery. It stood derelict for a number of years. When inspected in 1995 it was found to be badly infected with dry rot and was demolished. A photograph in Historic Buildings Records from 1991 shows a two storey rendered building with hipped slate roof and projecting single storey canted bay garden room. All windows were then blocked up.
