Exterior Description And Setting


A small flat roofed single storey contemporary dwelling planned in functional faction with constructivist elevational treatment using panels of redbrick contrasting with white roughcast rendering , giving interesting relationships in surface modelling. Painted timber windows and doors, deep timber fascia and timber pergola supported on slender steel column and completing the rectangular form. Garage separate but carefully considered spatially and in massing. The site is small and raised above road level with house set well back so that the entire garden is to the front, an enclosed paved area is to rear with garage. The house presents a pergola and gable end to road.
