Exterior Description And Setting

Three bay/ two storey (+ attic) farmhouse. Pitched natural slate roof with plastic rain water goods. There is a modern skylight to the rear pitch. There are two brick chimneys on cross walls to either side of centre bay. All walls are painted and cement rendered with stepped quoins to front corners. Abutting central bay to ground floor is a timber porch. It has a hipped slate roof, with three windows to front, modern door to left cheek and plain wall to right cheek. Front door inside porch is four panelled timber (top two glazed) with small semicircular fanlight and two sidelights. The door is late Victorian but opening seems earlier. At ground floor to left and right bays is a single 1/1 plastic top hung window with moulded keystoned architrave and painted bracketed cill. Three similar equally spaced window to first floor. Left and right gables each have two 1/1 plastic windows to ground floor, two to first floor and small one in attic gable. Rear has been much altered and has a large gabled return with additional lean to projection, of no interest.
