Exterior Description And Setting


A tall gabled church built of rustic brick with a steep pitched roof of concrete tiles, surmounted by a square belfry with a spire. Traditional in general form and layout but fenestrated in a modern manner with large window on ecclesiastical west gable rising to full height of wall. Side windows rectangular. Ecclesiastical east gable blank. Main entrance in a projecting porch on ecclesiastical south side, actually facing east. Open rectangular belfry with timber sheeting to base and zinc covered spire on top. Setting: the building stands in its own grounds facing the main roadway through a housing estate, with an open green opposite the entrance front, and open agricultural land to the rear. Low boundary wall of rustic brick to the front, with iron gates.
