Exterior Description And Setting


A largely intact lime kiln embedded in earthen bank on north side of narrow lane off main road. Of dry-built rounded granite fieldstones. Single pot accessed from field behind, probably stands to full height. Internal diameter c.1.9m but now largely infilled. Draw hole, which faces to lane, reduces in from 1.9m high opening defined by two massive granite lintels.
