Exterior Description And Setting

On a quiet road where it passes over the Ballykelly Burn which turns at right angles to pass through the segmental tunnel, rocky shelving glen lined with trees and shrubs, environs of bridge spoiled by indiscriminate dumping and fill. Parapet walls straight on either side with hogsback coping 800/900mm high. Stonework random rubble with narrow schist voissoirs.

Evaluation

The bridge has charm being stone built, its setting in the glen environment adds punctuation and interest to the road at this point as well as drawing attention to the present burn and glen. However it does not merit listing.
